My hard drive=kaput. All of my recent photos and music were lost but at least I got my computer back from the crapple geniuses. I should be back up and running soon. For now, some videos I've been excited about spotting.
First up, the modern day lady jay brown herself, Ms. Janelle Monae released her first music video and minifilm. Like most others, I love that she's devoted herself to the challenge of making a concept album/EP out of Metropolis Suite, and is now applying that same creativity to her music videos. Yes! Sure, Ye's done it in the past, we all know. I'm just glad to see another artist restoring the anticipation and suspense in music releases, especially music videos (a la Mr. Jackson, Prince, etc.). I don't have a TV, so missing videos is generally not a big deal, but now I at least have a reason to look forward to the character development and followup to Many Moons. Diddy better ignore his legacy of trainwrecking and shelfing artists and do right by her. I still can't believe this match even happened.
